Sponsors

We are currently looking for sponsorship that would enable the 7 Sons of Serevi to continue running and raising money for our selected charities. The team was set up to not only play tournaments around Europe but to raise money through various events, last year we ran the British 10K passing a ball around and doing 10 press ups every time someone dropped the ball. This year we will have representatives in:
• The Paris and London marathons and the British 10K
• The Urban Challenge
• 7s Tournaments in England, Wales, Germany, Holland (we debut in the Heineken Amsterdam 7s this May, Scotland lost in the quarterfinals last year!), and Belgium*

*We are hoping to spread our wings and head to tournaments in America, Hong Kong and Scandinavia in the near future. We will also be taking part or organising other events such as dinners and challenges hopefully including an attempt at a world record game of 7s. All the money we raise goes to the charities, we do not use a single penny for our running costs. In 2007 we raised in excess of £5,000 pounds for Whizz-Kidz and Link Community Development and would like to at least double our contributions each year for the next two years, then after that who knows! Having the rugby team means we have a group of willing and able fund raisers held together by a common love of rugby, and each player brings their friends to events.

The biggest problem we are having is keeping the tournaments we play in within the player's price ranges. The players pay all their own costs when we go play and up to this year that has included a new kit each tournament.

We are looking for sponsors to help us out with:
• Kit costs, we wish to have a team kit owned by the team and used in every tournament we play in over the next few seasons
• Website costs, the better our website the easier it is to organise events, attract help and gain credibility
• Event costs, many places we would like to hire require deposits etc and this has been coming out of our pockets up until now

Any sponsorship you offer will go to these running costs and in return we can offer one or more of these packages:
1) Gold sponsorship - For £2,000 your company would be the sole name on our kit which we wear for all tournaments and all public fund raising events including marathons. A page about you company on our website and a link to your own site, an invite to any events and a newsletter on our and the charities progress. We would also like it if you were to suggest a charity we could add to our list to raise money for.
2) Silver sponsorship - For £1,000 if you no gold sponsor is found your company name would be put on our kit but it cannot be guaranteed it would be the only name. A piece about your company on our website on the sponsors page and a link to your own site, an invite to any events and a newsletter on ours and the charities progress.
3) Bronze sponsorship - For £500 a piece about you company on our website on the sponsors page and a link to your own site, an invite to any events and a news letter on ours and the charities progress.

I really hope you find this proposition interesting and would like to do something with us, they are causes I feel strongly about and the team and fundraising is something I have been trying to grow for the last couple of years, its has now got to the stage where outside funding is necessary and without it the idea will not reach its full potential (unless I win the lottery). Everywhere we go we are warmly received and get a lot of attention and being associated with our team and charities can only enforce a positive image for your company and give you a chance to improve the lives of needy children both home and abroad.
